With 151 years of experience hosting the Kentucky Derby, the city is ready to solidify its reputation as a top event destination. The renovation will include a thousand hotel rooms, restaurants, 100,000 square feet of meeting space, and a 40,000-square-foot grand ballroom, attracting visitors and creating local jobs. The estimated cost of $600-700 million and a construction timeline of 2027-2030 will bring new life to this historic landmark, strengthening the city's downtown area and the entire Commonwealth of Kentucky.
